Just a friendly reminder!

NEXT HIKE: SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4! LIZARD'S MOUTH!

Our next Sierra Club hike will be on Saturday, September 4 to Lizard's 
Mouth. Lizard's Mouth is one of my favorite places to bring visitors who 
are not up for a full hike. Yet it is one of the most beautiful places to 
see locally!

It is a bit like the Playground... with training wheels! Lots of rocks to 
climb on, but mostly easy climbs, or else there are alternative routes that 
are easy.

Hi To Friends and Fellow Hikers

PHOTOS: SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4! LIZARD'S MOUTH!

Thanks to all who came for the Lizard's Mouth Sierra Club hike this past 
Saturday! And what a big group, with twenty people showing up! A special 
welcome to the new people!

As always, people were very kind and generous about giving a hand to those 
who needed an extra boost or even just a few gentle words of guidance and 
encouragement! And sometimes a bit of food and water, too!

Lizard's Mouth is a joy to explore, but there are a few places where such 
help is certainly appreciated!

The weather was perfect! Since this little adventure was over by noon, 
about half the group stayed together for lunch! We went to Five Points 
Shopping Center, near our hike meeting place... to the newest Saigon 
Vietnamese Restaurant. Mmm!

Notice the "Blue Belly" lizard in the first photo. Some of us were treated 
to this rare territorial display!

As for my next Sierra Club hike... The new schedule is just starting to be 
worked out. So... Expect an update before my next hike. But that hike won't 
be until at least late October!
